III International Children’s Pipe Organ
Festival-Competition will take place on June
12-13, 2014 in St. Michael Church of Jõhvi and
in St. John’s Church of Tallinn.
The targets of the Festival-Competition:
- Developing the tuition of organ in
interest-based schools and training future organ
players
- Enhancement of local music life
- Inspiring children’s interest towards playing
the organ
- Popularization of organ music
- Possibilities for performing before public and
for establishing creative links.
Terms of participation:
Eligible for participation in the competition
are students of organ classes studying at music
or arts schools.
The participants will be performing in two age
groups and in two categories depending on their
level of study and age (specializing in the
organ or having the organ as an elective
course).
Ist age group: 8-12 years
A-Category (organ as an elective course) – a
program by free choice
B-Category (majoring in the organ) – a
composition of the Baroque period and a
composition by free choice.
The length of the program is to be no more than
8 minutes.
IInd age group: 13-18 years
A- Category (organ as an elective course) – a
composition of the Baroque period and a
composition by free choice.
B- Category (majoring in the organ) - a
composition of the Baroque period and a
composition of the Romanticism period.
The length of the program is to be no more than
12 minutes.
Jury Appraisal Procedure
1. Appraisal of music performances will be
executed on the basis of 10-point system.
2. In case if on summing up the received points
or on voting on any issues the number of votes
“for” and “against” will coincide, then the
Chairman’s vote will be decisive.
3. On evaluating the competition performance the
following criteria will be considered:
interpretation, technical level and musicality.
The decision of the jury is to be final and
cannot be appealed against.
4. The jury will be composed of 3 persons
5. The jury is entitled
- to award fewer than all premiums
- to share premiums between the participants
- to award special premiums.
Awards
The following premium and titles are established
for the winners in
each age group and category:
- the first premium and the title of laureate
- the second premium and the title of laureate
- the third premium and the title of laureate
- Audience Choice Award
- GRAND PRIX will be awarded to the only
participant, whose
performance will be adjudged to be the best
- Diplomas will be awarded:
• for musicality
• for artistic impression
• for scenic culture.

For the participation in the Organ
Festival-Competition it is requested to submit
the Registration Form to the Organizing
Committee. The Registration Form shall bear the
following information:
• Name of school
• Student’s name and surname, year of study,
specialization
• Student’s date of birth
• Teacher’s name and surname
• Name of the musical composition (in the
language of its origin, opus, tonality)
• Length of the program

and the participant’s photo by e-mail no later
than on 28.04.2014.to the address of

Participation fee in amount of 30 EUR is to be
remitted to the
Bank account of Kohtla-Järve Linnavalitsus a/a
